Elite Vasectomy Experience

Comfort & Confidence Every Step of the Way

Why Choose Us?

A vasectomy may be a ‘small procedure’ but it is a big deal! For most men, this very important and delicate procedure is performed in a cold, bare setting where men are quickly shuffled in and out like cattle then sent home with little or no follow up. Instead of waltzing through a sterile hallway in a paper gown to a doctor you probably haven’t met and is more likely a primary care provider than a urologist.

A New Setting

You walk into a man cave style waiting area, grab a beer and a snack, then sink into the brown leather sofa and catch some ESPN on the flat screen while you fill out your forms.

A Doctor Who Ensures Comfort

Next, share in a conversation with a doctor who looks you in the eye and will not leave the room until all your questions have been answered.  On procedure day relax with sedation and rock out to your music of choice while a board-certified urologist with 25 years of experience deftly performs your procedure in record time.

Post-Op Checkins

Later that evening you receive a reassuring phone call addressing any concerns, followed by a post op visit to ensure you are healing well.

Is a Vasectomy Right for You?

Things To Consider

Do you want more children?

The number one consideration is whether the male partner is certain he is no longer wishes to have children. This decision is usually made in conjunction with a partner who agrees. If there is any uncertainty, it is best to hold off. Although technically vasectomies are reversible, it is recommended we think of them as irreversible. Why? Because vasectomy reversals are complex, time consuming, expensive, and the best possible outcome is a 50% pregnancy success rate.

What is your partner Status?

No one wants to think about the possibility that their current relationship status may change in the future, but the reality is that this happens all the time. A common situation I see is that of a man who divorces, for example, in his early 40s and meets a younger partner who is interested in children.

How old are you?

Although a 25-year-old may feel certain he does not desire children; circumstances are continually shifting. There is no guarantee he will feel this way ten years later, or perhaps after meeting his ideal mate. He may meet a partner who strongly desires children, and change his mind, or he may change his mind on his own as he matures. For this reason, vasectomies are strongly discouraged in patients under 30, especially if the patient does not have any children.

Have you considered how other forms of birth control impact your relationship?

Some women have difficulty tolerating
hormonal forms of birth control. Some couples dislike condoms. Others are using unreliable methods such as pulling out or the rhythm method. Or perhaps you’ve been discussing the pros and cons of tubal ligation (a woman getting her ‘tubes tied’) vs vasectomy. Tubal ligation is a much bigger and riskier surgery than a vasectomy. If the current form of birth control is harmful or intolerable, it may be time for a vasectomy.

You are doing your part by providing a wonderful gift for your partner; let us do our part and spoil you throughout the process. You deserve a sublime vasectomy experience, treat yourself!
